Posted on May 3, 2023May 3, 2023 by CharlotteM

The long-awaited “Final Arc” of Attack on Titan has finally been announced, with the release of Part 3 of the anime’s Final Season. The official Twitter account for the series announced that the new season will begin airing in Japan in March, accompanied by an explosive new trailer.

Part 3 of Attack on Titan Final Season will be split into two halves, with the first half airing on March 4 on NHK General, and the second half coming later in 2023. The anime is being produced by MAPPA Studios, with Yuichiro Hayashi confirmed as the art director. The new trailer teases the cataclysmic events shown in the finale of the series, with the Rumbling guided by Eren Yaeger in his Founding Titan form threatening to trample the entire world.

The Final Season of Attack on Titan has been a subject of controversy among fans, with many expecting Part 2 to conclude the series. However, MAPPA is known for its high-quality production and has taken a considerable amount of time between seasons to ensure that the final product meets fans’ expectations. This announcement has been long-awaited by fans, who are eagerly anticipating the conclusion of this epic and tragic story.

The upcoming Final Season will receive even more attention because the series finale is known to be controversial. It sparked endless debates among fans, mostly revolving around Eren’s behavior and decisions, which still continue today. The trailer for Part 3 focuses on the horror caused by Eren and the Wall Titans marching off to trample the world outside Paradis. However, it also has some meaningful shots of a younger and much more humane Eren, which has left fans speculating about the direction of the story.

Fans are excited about the release of Part 3, which is already a strong contender for the anime of the year 2023, even though the split into two cours may be hard to endure. While it has not been officially announced yet, it’s almost guaranteed that the Final Season of Attack on Titan will be streaming on Crunchyroll, where fans can also find all the other seasons of the anime to get a refresher before diving into the conclusion of this epic story.
