Max Verstappen’s street-track form has given Red Bull cause to be hopeful heading into the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, according to Helmut Marko.

Max Verstappen’s street track results in 2021, according to Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, will serve him well at next weekend’s Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The all-new, high-speed Jeddah Corniche Circuit is set to host Formula 1 for the first race, with Verstappen leading title contender Lewis Hamilton by eight points in the championship standings.
Verstappen won in Monaco earlier this season and was on his way to winning in Baku before a dramatic tyre failure in the closing stages, leaving Marko optimistic about Red Bull’s chances.

Marko believes in Verstappen
The driver, according to Marko, will make the difference over the 6.174-kilometer, 27-turn track.
“We believe in Verstappen’s qualities on street circuits,” the Austrian former racer is quoted as saying by F1-Insider.
“He won in Monaco and dominated in Baku before his unfortunate blowout. In Saudi Arabia, the driver will once again be able to make the difference.”
Marko also feels Hamilton’s so-called “spicy engine,” which Mercedes plans to install in his car in Saudi Arabia, won’t have as much power as it did in Brazil.
