“Character Meet and Greets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Get a Refresh”
If you had your heart set on meeting Max Goof dressed up as Powerline or encountering Chip ‘n’ Dale donning their iconic Rescue Rangers outfits at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we have some news for you – these character experiences have undergone some changes. Both Max and Chip ‘n’ Dale have reverted to their classic looks, leaving behind the costumes that delighted fans in their previous meet and greet sessions.
Now, Chip ‘n’ Dale can be found together on the grassy lawn near The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. You might spot them at various times throughout the day, and they’ve embraced the Halloween spirit by carrying pumpkins adorned with portraits of themselves carved into the gourds. These lovable chipmunks used to sport their Rescue Rangers attire while entertaining guests at the former FastPass+ distribution area for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
Max Goof, on the other hand, has traded in his Powerline persona for his original “Goof Troop” attire. He’s relocated his meet-and-greet spot from Grand Avenue to Echo Lake. This location was previously occupied by characters from “The Incredibles” earlier this year.
Notably, Donald Duck has also experienced a relocation. Instead of being found on the character sighting lawn at the Brown Derby, you can now catch him at Echo Lake, just outside the 50’s Prime Time Café. During our recent visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Donald was meeting guests solo, with no sign of Daisy. The future for Daisy’s presence in the park remains uncertain – she might return to her own spot, join Donald at his new location, or possibly not return at all.
While these character meet and greets may have undergone a transformation, the beloved Goofy remains a constant. He continues to greet guests in his usual spot on Grand Avenue, right by the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Goofy hasn’t changed his outfit but is still sporting his distinctive Hawaiian shirt addition.
