Chandler Smith won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Friday night, holding out Zane Smith in a two-lap duel.
Zane Smith finished second but was dismissed when his truck failed inspection due to lug nuts that did not comply with the rules.
Kyle Busch comes in second, Stewart Friesen third, Ryan Preece fourth, and Tanner Gray fifth, thanks to Zane Smith’s disqualification.
On the last restart with three circuits to go, Zane Smith, who won the season-opening race at Daytona, took the lead. Chandler Smith won his third series in 40 starts in his profession.
With less than ten circuits remaining, Christian Eckes wrecked while attempting to prevent Busch from gaining the lead. Eckes was ranked 29th after finishing the race.
After two races, Chandler Smith is in first place in the standings. He has a total of 87 points. Tanner Gray (82 points), Ty Majeski (72), Ben Rhodes (70), and Stewart Friesen round out the top five (65).
