Brave Heart
When Brave Heart was released in 1995, it was an instant hit. Directed and starring Mel Gibson played Scottish hero William Wallace and helped the film win five Oscars.
The film is set in 13th-century Scotland, when Wallace returns to his homeland and discovers it has been ruled by the tyrant of England, Edward. After Wallace’s new wife was killed by the British, he rose to lead the struggle against the British. They won an important war, and as the rebellion grew, Wallace fell in love with Isabella, daughter-in-law of King Edward I.

The movie has a lot of inaccuracies. Historically, King Edward was not the one to devise the abominable laws that led to the death of his wife Wallace. The rebels in the film also always wear skirts, perhaps to match the famous image of men in this country. Unfortunately, in reality, they don’t have anything to show off like that.
There would also be no love story between Wallace and Isabella because, at the time of her weakness, she was still a child. Likewise, Edward, I am also young, even though he is an adult in the film. In addition, the 13th century was a time of peace between the two countries instead of the draconian rule.
