The regular season of the NASCAR Cup Series has come to an end. Ryan Blaney won the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway, edging off Chris Buescher in the last race before the playoffs begin. Blaney won for the second week in a row, giving him a lot of momentum moving into the 2021 NASCAR Playoffs.
The top 16 drivers will compete for the season-ending points championship in the playoffs, which begin next week. Kyle Larson won the regular season championship, but the field of 16 drivers is now wide open. Tyler Reddick, who finished sixth in Saturday’s race and earned the final playoff position, was the big winner.
The Cook Out Southern 500 is Darlington’s first playoff event. The top 12 racers will progress to the next round of three races after competing in three races. The 16 drivers who will take the wheel first are listed here.
