Anthony Davidson went to Silverstone to pilot a Mercedes F1 automobile around a spectacular lap in the dark – with a festive twist.
In Formula One, night races require floodlights, which the Silverstone track currently lacks, hence the British Grand Prix is unlikely to become a night event anytime soon.
The track, however, had been decked with festive lights in honor of the season, so Mercedes sent its F1 simulator driver Anthony Davidson to complete a spectacular lap of lights.
It was one of the craziest and scariest laps of Davidson’s life, who is also a Formula One commentator.
