Exploring the Enigma of One Piece’s Holy Knights
The recent release of One Piece chapter 1083 delved into the aftermath of the Reverie and shed light on the Revolutionary Army’s assault on the Holy Land of Marijoa, specifically from Sabo’s perspective. This action-packed chapter not only showcased Sabo’s combat prowess and bravery but also introduced intriguing new characters known as the Holy Knights, who are poised to play a significant role in the unfolding narrative.
So, who exactly are these Holy Knights? First mentioned by Fleet Admiral Sakazuki shortly after the Wano Country arc, the Holy Knights are tasked with handling the aftermath of the Reverie’s events. This includes addressing the chaos caused by the Revolutionary Army and dealing with the repercussions of Saint Mjosgard striking Saint Charloss during his attempt to capture Princess Shirahoshi. It appears that the Holy Knights possess considerable skills and hold judicial power within the Holy Land.
Though initially perceived as figures of high importance, recent revelations in One Piece chapter 1083 suggest that the Holy Knights might have a more profound role to play. The chapter unveiled Dragon’s commencement of war, with Sabo’s invasion of the Reverie serving as the first step. Accompanied by Revolutionary Army commanders, Sabo successfully completed three crucial objectives: freeing former slaves, including Kuma; destroying the hoof, a symbol of power for the Celestial Dragons; and obliterating the Celestial Dragons’ food storage at Marijoa.
This act of destruction is significant, as it serves as part of the Revolutionary Army’s strategy to starve the Celestial Dragons while drawing them out into open warfare, where they are vulnerable. Dragon himself suggests that the Holy Knights will be the catalyst for the impending war, coming forth with fury against the Revolutionary Army.
While their actual strength remains unknown, the silhouette of the Holy Knights suggests a formidable presence, with nine figures bearing weapons. Dragon’s acknowledgement of their power indicates that they are a force to be reckoned with, potentially surpassing even Cipher Pol in strength. Given their name, it is possible that the Holy Knights are the personal fighters employed by the Celestial Dragons themselves.
As the Holy Knights hold authority over Celestial Dragon disputes, it is plausible that they themselves are Celestial Dragons. In contrast to the limited number of Celestial Dragons with combat abilities seen thus far, the Holy Knights may serve as their designated fighters, explaining their absence until this point in the story. By confronting the Holy Knights, the Revolutionary Army will engage in direct combat and ignite the final war in the One Piece world. Parallels can also be drawn between the Holy Knights and Enel’s God’s Army, wherein Enel considered himself a deity and had a cadre of powerful priests under his command. The Holy Knights may share a similar loyalty to the Celestial Dragons, particularly Imu, who holds the highest authority in the World Government.
In the forthcoming chapters, the Holy Knights will undoubtedly pursue Sabo, as he is the central figure responsible for the Reverie’s major incidents. Fans eagerly anticipate further exploration of the Holy Knights and their involvement in the story’s progression.
