In response to a game-breaking bug that was causing crashes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, The Pokémon Company has decided to temporarily suspend all event raids scheduled for the weekend. This decision came after the introduction of a new event that featured limited-time raids for the Paradox Pokémon, Iron Treads and Great Tusk, which are based on the popular Pokémon, Donphan.
The issue arose when players completed the raid online and expected to receive a TM crafting item as a reward, similar to other raids in the game. However, due to an oversight, Paradox Pokémon do not drop TM crafting items. As a result, players were instead given an item labeled as ‘None’. The problem occurred when players exited back to the overworld after completing the raid while connected to the internet. The game would freeze and eventually crash, causing frustration among players.
To address this issue, both raids have been temporarily taken offline, and players are strongly advised to avoid participating in the raids if they had already downloaded the raid data prior to the suspension. Additionally, the second part of the Chesnaught raid from the previous weekend has also been suspended as part of the overall rollback process.
The Pokémon Company has acknowledged the bug and announced on Twitter that they are actively investigating the issue. However, they have not provided any specific details regarding when the raids will be made available again. Players are eagerly awaiting updates and hoping for a swift resolution.
Unfortunately, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have encountered various bugs since their initial release last November. Despite multiple patches aimed at addressing these issues, a number of bugs still persist. Although Nintendo has promised ongoing improvements post-launch, with the anticipation of DLC releasing later this year and the upcoming integration of Pokémon Home support, it seems that some bugs may continue to persist in the game.
