- Ensure you have the latest DreamSnaps update for Disney Dreamlight Valley. Without it, you won’t be able to acquire Vanellope.
- Once updated, enter your valley, and you’ll notice a new quest automatically tracked in the top left corner of your screen named ‘The Haunting of Dreamlight Valley.’ If it’s not tracked, access your quests menu, and you’ll find it alongside an image of Scrooge McDuck.
- Speak with Scrooge McDuck, usually found in his store during the day. He’ll inform you about a ghost sighting in Dream Castle.
- Head to Dream Castle, climb to the top where the fountain is, and you’ll encounter Vanellope. However, she won’t join your valley just yet.
- Talk to Vanellope, and she’ll explain that she glitched into the valley randomly and lost control over it. She wants you to take a photo and upload it to her network to test it, essentially introducing you to DreamSnaps.
- After speaking with Vanellope, the ‘Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust’ quest begins, which you must complete to welcome her.
To complete the ‘Faith, Trust, and Pixel Dust’ quest:
- Utilize the new DreamSnaps feature to take a photo that meets the DreamSnap challenge tag requirements. These challenges might involve clothing, but for this quest, you must place matching furniture.
- To find the DreamSnaps challenge requirements, go to your events menu, and select the ‘Current Challenge’ tab under ‘DreamSnaps.’
- The requirements for this quest are ‘Playful x5’ and ‘Familiar x 5.’ You can also check these requirements in Photo Mode.
- Ensure your furniture meets these requirements by using the filter option in your furniture menu. Select ‘All,’ access the filter menu, and choose the desired traits.
- After placing the appropriate furniture, take a photo that includes all the required traits. Adjust the image style to ensure visibility.
- Submit your DreamSnaps photo by using the ‘DreamSnaps’ button in the image preview. If you meet the requirements, you’ll see a ‘Submit’ prompt at the bottom of the list.
- You’ll receive x50 Pixel Dust as a reward.
- Place Vanellope’s house in the Valley to act as a beacon for her. Find the location, open your furniture menu, and locate her house under the ‘Requests’ tab.
- Interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign outside the house, and he’ll charge you 4,000 Coins to build it.
- Once her house is built, you can welcome Vanellope to Dreamlight Valley!”
