Lando Norris, a McLaren Formula One driver, suggested yesterday that he will be doing something major today.
Lando Norris of McLaren appears to be looking ahead, and not just to the next race on the schedule, which isn’t for another week and a half, after a disappointing Russian Grand Prix at Sochi Autodrom, which could have easily resulted in his first career Formula 1 victory this past Sunday.
On Tuesday afternoon, Norris posted a cryptic message on his Twitter account, possibly hinting at something significant for him on Wednesday.
Of course, many of the comments on his tweet urged him to say more, but it’s safe to say that he wouldn’t have teased his fans in the way he did if he had any intention of sharing more before releasing whatever he’s currently keeping back.
Norris is having a great year in Formula 1 after competing in 15 of the 22 races on the calendar for 2021. He is currently fourth in the driver standings and would be higher if Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix had not been marred by rain and him pitting for intermediate tires late in the race.
Norris has three previous podium finishes this season, including a career-high second place at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. His pole position in Sochi was his first of the season and the first for McLaren since the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos in 2012.
