“Guide to Demon Slayer Season 3’s Swordsmith Village Arc: Release Dates, Story Highlights, and More”

Demon Slayer season 3, also known as the Swordsmith Village arc, has captivated fans with its stunning animation, intense battles, and Tanjiro’s character growth. As we approach the final stages of the season, here’s a concise guide to catch you up on the latest episodes and relive the arc’s best moments. We’ll cover release dates, cast and character information, and a brief summary of the story so far.

For those starting from the beginning, we’ve included a helpful explanation on how to watch Demon Slayer in chronological order, along with recommendations for other must-watch anime. Additionally, we provide a detailed release schedule for each episode of Demon Slayer season 3.

Release dates for Demon Slayer season 3: Swordsmith Village episodes are as follows:

  • Subbed episodes air on Crunchyroll and Funimation on Sundays at 10:45 AM Pacific/1:45 PM Eastern in the US, and at 6:45 PM in the UK. Note that release times may vary slightly, so be prepared for potential delays. Episode 8 is next in line and will be available from May 28.
  • The English dub version of the first episode can be enjoyed from 1:30 PM Pacific/4:30 PM Eastern/9:30 PM BST on May 28.

The Swordsmith Village arc, covered in Demon Slayer season 3, corresponds to chapters 98-127 of the manga. This means we can expect around 11-12 episodes in this arc. Without delving into spoilers, the story thus far explores the aftermath of the battle at the Entertainment District. Tanjiro’s recovery takes place at the Hashira headquarters, while Muzan Kibutsuji dispatches his Upper Rank demons, Gyokko and Hantengu, on a new mission.

Zenitsu and Inosuke embark on separate missions, while Tanjiro, accompanied by Nezuko, visits the Swordsmith Village to repair his sword. There, he encounters the Love and Mist Hashiras. Noteworthy events include Mist Hashira Muichiro training with a mechanical doll, Tanjiro unlocking a new scent detection ability with the help of swordsmith child Kotetsu, and the revelation of a centuries-old sword hidden within the doll.

However, the tranquility is short-lived as Upper Rank demons Hantengu and Gyokko invade the village. Hantengu’s ability to split into multiple personas poses a significant challenge, while Gyokko’s assault puts Kotetsu and Mist Hashira Muichiro in danger. Tanjiro discovers that each of Hantengu’s personas represents an emotion and attempts to turn the tide with the aid of Nezuko and Genya. Love Hashira Mitsuri joins the battle when all hope seems lost.

Later episodes highlight Muichiro’s search for a new blade, his encounter with Gyokko and the disturbing art featuring deceased Swordsmiths, and his eventual imprisonment in a pool of water. Tanjiro’s power increases as he harnesses his sister’s demon blood, allowing him to behead three of Hantengu’s personas. Genya’s transformation into a demon adds further complications, but he ultimately aids in slaying Hantengu. However, challenges persist as Sekido, Hantengu’s anger demon, attacks Tanjiro, leaving him wounded.

The cast of Demon Slayer season 3’s Swordsmith Village arc includes familiar characters such as Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko. However, Zenitsu and Inosuke take more supporting roles in this season. Joining them are new characters like the Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanoji, and Kotetsu, who trains Tanjiro.

Notable demons in the cast include Kokushibo, Hantengu, and Gyokko, who serve as the primary antagonists of the Swordsmith Village arc. Akaza, Doma, Nakime, and their leader Muzan Kibutsuji also make appearances in the first episode of the season.

The opening theme song for Demon Slayer season 3 is “Kizuna No Kiseki” performed by the Japanese rock band Man With a Mission and singer Milet. They also provide the ending theme song titled “Koikogare” for the Swordsmith Village arc.

To watch Demon Slayer season 3, you can stream it on Crunchyroll and Funimation. Netflix users can currently find the first two seasons available in some regions, with the Entertainment District arc recently added. However, please note that new episodes from the Swordsmith Village arc may not be available on Netflix for some time.
