Posted on May 28, 2023May 28, 2023 by CharlotteM

The highly anticipated English dub of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc (also known as season 3) is just around the corner, bringing excitement to fans worldwide.

After the successful airing of the original Japanese dub of the third season starting in April, fans eagerly awaited news of the English version. And now, the wait is over. Crunchyroll has officially announced that the English dubbed episodes will be released on Sunday, May 28 at 9:30 PM BST, marking the much-anticipated debut of the English adaptation. Fans can expect a weekly release schedule thereafter, allowing them to follow the story’s progression in the English language.

Accompanying the release date announcement is the reveal of the voice cast, which features familiar talents reprising their roles. Zach Aguilar will continue to lend his voice to the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, while Abby Trott returns as the endearing Nezuko Kamado. Aleks Le will once again bring the energetic Zenitsu Agatsuma to life, while Bryce Papenbrook takes up the mantle of the boisterous Inosuke Hashibira. Griffin Burns adds his voice to the talented cast as Muichiro Tokito, and Kira Buckland returns as the captivating Mitsuri Kanroji.

In addition to the main cast, new additions to the voice cast include Zeno Robinson as Genya, Christopher Corey Smith as Hantengu, and Brent Mukai as Gyokko. Fans can look forward to their performances and how they contribute to the unfolding story of Demon Slayer.

For those unfamiliar with the series, Demon Slayer follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who becomes a Demon Slayer after his family is tragically killed and his sister, Nezuko, is transformed into a demon. Season 3 of the show adapts the Swordsmith Village arc from the manga, which takes place after the events of the Mugen Train movie and the thrilling Entertainment District arc.

As the story progresses, Tanjiro finds himself in the Swordsmith Village, where he reunites with two Hashira, the highest-ranking swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps. Among them are Muichiro Tokito, known as the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira. With the ever-present threat of demons looming in the shadows, a new battle begins for Tanjiro and his comrades, testing their skills and resolve.

The English dub premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc is set to captivate audiences on Crunchyroll starting May 28. For those eager to catch up or dive into the series for the first time, Demon Slayer is available to watch on Crunchyroll and Netflix, allowing fans to immerse themselves fully in the captivating world of demon slaying and the indomitable spirit of Tanjiro Kamado.
