While F1 celebrates his 37th birthday, Lewis Hamilton has been silent.
Lewis Hamilton has remained silent over a month after his heartbreak in the 2021 Formula One World Championship season finale.
Hamilton hasn’t spoken publicly since the pre-podium interview, when he was defeated on the final lap of the race when a Safety Car allowed title contender Max Verstappen to pit for fresh tyres.
Four days after the marathon, he received his knighthood in the United Kingdom, which was his only public appearance since the race.
Despite the seven-time World Champion’s 37th birthday being celebrated across social media, Hamilton’s quiet remained on Friday.
“7x F1 Champion. Centurion. Record Breaker. Knight of the Realm,” Mercedes posted on their social media channels, accompanied by a picture montage of Hamilton. “Happy Birthday Lewis Hamilton!”
Throughout the morning, Hamilton, as well as birthday wishes from fans, trended on Twitter, with the official F1 accounts also wishing him a happy birthday.
