A newly revealed action figure from the popular Marvel Legends toy line by Hasbro brings the character Matt Murdock, portrayed by Charlie Cox, to life in plastic form.
Although the release of the Charlie Cox-led Marvel series “Daredevil: Born Again” has been delayed due to Hollywood strikes, fans can find comfort in the knowledge that the show will eventually see the light of day. Moreover, the character, also known as Ol’ Hornhead, has made appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in two episodes of “Marvel’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” and a pivotal scene in “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Additionally, he is set to be a supporting character in the upcoming 2024 series “Echo.”
The action figure featuring Matt Murdock was unveiled during Hasbro’s online Pulse Con event, part of a new wave of Marvel Legends six-inch-scale action figures inspired by “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” This release marks the first time that the Marvel Studios’ rendition of Matt Murdock has been included in the Legends toy line. The Marvel Legends figure boasts a fully articulated body in his suited attire and comes with a cane.
While this might be the initial civilian Matt Murdock action figure in the Marvel Legends line, it is not the first Daredevil figure to be produced. A figure based on his appearance in the self-titled Netflix series was previously released during the show’s active production days. Moreover, the Marvel Legends line, with its 21-year history, has seen the release of numerous Daredevil figures inspired by his comic book appearances, showcasing a variety of his iconic costumes and looks.
Furthermore, considering Matt Murdock’s continued involvement in the MCU, Hasbro is likely to produce additional Daredevil figures based on his future appearances in MCU projects. There is still untapped potential, such as his distinctive ketchup-and-mustard-colored armor from “She-Hulk.” Fans of Charlie Cox’s portrayal of Daredevil can stream all of his appearances on Disney+.
