The revelation came directly from Ayo Davis, the president of Disney Branded Television, during the Disney Junior & Friends Playdate event at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim.
Under the temporary title of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0, this new rendition of Disney Junior’s flagship show will not only reunite Mickey and his pals, but also introduce a cast of new characters, including Duffy the Disney Bear. This lovable teddy bear, a trusted companion of Mickey’s, is set to surprise audiences with appearances in multiple episodes.
Excitingly, the clubhouse itself will undergo a transformation, featuring an expansion that includes a dedicated area exclusively for Minnie Mouse.
The creative force behind the show is none other than Disney veteran Rob LaDuca, known for his role in producing and shaping numerous beloved animated series such as the original Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates, DuckTales, Muppet Babies, and more.
The original iteration of the show, which premiered in 2006 and enjoyed a decade-long run, was a consistent hit, captivating young viewers. Its popularity continues on platforms like Disney+ and Disney Junior’s YouTube channel, where it has racked up an astonishing 4 billion views.
