Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, co-creator and executive producer of “Phineas and Ferb,” is officially joining the revival of the series at Disney Branded Television. The animated show is set to return with 40 episodes, led by co-creator Dan Povenmire. In the revival, Marsh will serve as executive producer and voice director for the new episodes.
Meredith Roberts, the executive vice president of Television Animation at Disney Branded Television, praised Marsh’s creative talents and his ability to collaborate with various artists in writing, animation design, directing, music, and acting. She expressed excitement about their continued partnership and the prospects of captivating global audiences with more entertaining stories.
In addition to his work on the “Phineas and Ferb” revival, Marsh is currently producing the preschool animated series “Hey A.J.” for Disney Junior, based on the book series by Martellus Bennett. The show portrays a positive representation of a child and her parents, a stay-at-home father, and a small business owner mother.
While it remains unclear where the “Phineas and Ferb” revival will air, Disney Branded TV produces shows for Disney Channel, Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. The original series, which premiered in 2008 on Disney Channel and ran until 2012, also saw additional episodes on Disney XD, along with one-hour specials and two films.
Marsh, known for his work in voice directing and character portrayal, contributed his voice to various characters, including Major Monogram. His TV credits include involvement in shows like “Postman Pat,” “Bounty Hamster,” “The Simpsons,” “King of the Hill,” “Rocko’s Modern Life,” and “Milo Murphy’s Law,” which he co-created with Povenmire. He is represented by Natural Talent, Inc.
