One Piece Episode 1083: Unveiling Sabo’s Secrets

Posted on May 21, 2023May 20, 2023 by CharlotteM

In the latest installment of One Piece, Chapter 1083 titled “The Truth of That Day,” Eiichiro Oda masterfully unveils the long-awaited revelation surrounding the events that unfolded in Mariejois. This chapter, part of the compelling Egghead arc, may not rank among the absolute best in recent months, but it serves as a crucial foundation for the significant plot developments yet to come.

One Piece 1083 zeroes in on the Revolutionary Army, shining a spotlight on Sabo as he arrives on Momoiro Island and takes it upon himself to disclose the truth about what transpired in Mariejois to none other than Dragon and Ivankov. This particular chapter delves deep into the intricate details of the Revolutionary Army’s daring mission, offering fans an inside look at their infiltration of the Holy Land.

At the heart of the Revolutionary Army’s objectives lay three pivotal goals, all of which were resoundingly achieved during their audacious operation within Mariejois. Sabo wastes no time in elucidating their triumphs to Dragon, affirming that the first goal involved the complete annihilation of the hoof, a powerful and symbolic entity representing the Celestial Dragons’ authority. Sabo, accompanied by the indomitable Revolutionary Army Commanders, obliterates the hoof, effectively delivering a devastating blow to the Celestial Dragons’ power structure. Furthermore, they go a step further by burning down the flag of the Celestial Dragons, leaving an indelible mark of defiance.

The second objective on their agenda entailed the emancipation of the enslaved individuals trapped within the confines of Mariejois. Through the combined might of Sabo and the formidable Commanders, the mission to liberate the oppressed slaves proved to be a resounding success, drawing inspiration from the valiant deeds of Fisher Tiger in days gone by. The Revolutionary Army executed a meticulously planned operation, ensuring that numerous souls found freedom from their captors. Notably, Bartholomew Kuma, a slave with a particularly significant history, stood as a key target for liberation. Sabo, personally vested in the mission’s success, took it upon himself to free Kuma, fully aware of the profound importance this act held. Although the immediate aftermath of Kuma’s release has yet to be unveiled, fans eagerly anticipate the subsequent chapters, which promise to shed light on this critical development.

With the emancipation of the slaves accomplished, the Revolutionary Army celebrated another momentous victory. However, their mission wasn’t without its fair share of challenges. As they readied themselves to depart from Mariejois, the Government summoned their most formidable assets — Admiral Fujitora and Greenbull — to halt the audacious intruders in their tracks. Despite the Admirals’ undeniable power, it came as a shock to fans witnessing the tenacity of the Revolutionary Army Commanders as they confronted these formidable opponents head-on. Morley, a Commander of exceptional prowess, valiantly faced off against Greenbull, while Karasu engaged in a fierce battle with the indomitable Fujitora. In this pivotal moment, readers are afforded a glimpse into Karasu’s abilities, with Oda clarifying that he possesses either a Special Paramecia or Logia-type Devil Fruit ability. The enigmatic power bestowed upon him, named Susu Susu no Mi, allows Karasu to transform into and manipulate soot, enabling him to unleash devastating attacks. To counter Karasu’s extraordinary powers, Fujitora finds himself compelled to summon a meteor, yet wisely refrains from following through with the catastrophic act, considering their location within the hallowed grounds of Mariejois. Admirably, the Revolutionary Army Commanders manage to hold their ground against the Admirals, ensuring the safe liberation of the slaves and, as fans are already aware, the successful rescue of Bartholomew Kuma.

While Morley and Karasu valiantly battled the Admirals, Lindbergh, the Southern Army Commander, embarked on a daring mission of his own. In a display of remarkable skill, he liberates a substantial number of enslaved individuals languishing within the Holy Land. This captivating segment occupies the majority of the chapter, leaving readers eagerly anticipating the forthcoming resolution of Cobra’s fate. Regrettably, the specifics surrounding his circumstances remain shrouded in mystery, leaving fans with a plethora of unanswered questions. However, the subsequent chapter, One Piece 1084, promises to grant them insight into the exact chain of events, particularly as Cobra’s demise has been unjustly attributed to Sabo. Although the exact nature of Sabo’s implication in these events remains unclear, fans eagerly await the next chapter’s revelations, hoping to uncover the truth behind this intricate web of deceit.
