Players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are expressing their frustration as reports surface about the Tera Raid events featuring Great Tusk and Iron Treads causing game crashes. This news is circulating among the dedicated fanbase of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, with players sharing their experiences of the Tera Raid event leading to game instability. The emergence of this issue is likely to bring disappointment to the community, especially for those eagerly anticipating the inclusion of Great Tusk and Iron Treads in the game’s Tera Raid rotation.
Tera Raids have been a regular highlight in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gaming experience since the title’s launch in November 2022. These raid battles have showcased a variety of Pokemon, some more elusive and coveted than others. Recently, the Tera Raids featured the final evolutions of the beloved Generation 2 starters, including Typhlosion, Inteleon, and Chesnaught. As the focus shifts to the exclusive Paradox Pokemon in the latest event, it’s not surprising that players are participating enthusiastically while also encountering and reporting any anomalies or technical glitches that may arise during these intense raid battles.
According to a report from NintendoSoup, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet enthusiasts have taken to sharing their experiences with the recent Great Tusk and Iron Treads Tera Raid event on online platforms. In response to a tweet from Pokemon fansite Serebii.net, a user named daikenblack uploaded a screenshot showcasing their game where they received a “None” reward upon catching Great Tusk, only to have their game abruptly crash. Joe Merrick, the webmaster of Serebii.net, weighed in on the situation, speculating that the crash may have occurred due to the game attempting to access a specific reward that hasn’t been properly programmed into the title, causing the instability. Merrick expressed optimism that a fix would soon be implemented to address this particular glitch.
The Twitter thread quickly filled up with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players sharing their own encounters with the bug. Many described their games crashing right after capturing the enigmatic Paradox Pokemon, accompanied by the receipt of the same “None” reward seen in daikenblack’s screenshot. One player, who plays the digital version of the game, mentioned that they didn’t experience any crashes, prompting them to wonder if the bug’s activation was influenced by different game versions. Another player chimed in, sharing that after their initial crash, they restarted the game and were able to complete the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid battle they had joined without further issues.
Considering that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids are only available for a limited time, it is crucial for the development team to promptly release a fix to address the game crashes. Alternatively, extending the event duration would be a fair course of action, especially if players are unable to catch the Pokemon featured in the Tera Raid due to technical difficulties.
As a reminder, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are exclusive titles available for the Nintendo Switch platform, offering an immersive Pokemon experience to fans of all ages.
