Bleach’s final arc, The Thousand-Year Blood War, has resolved its continuity errors

Fans of the popular anime and manga series Bleach were thrilled to learn that the first 13 episodes of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc had been released on Blu-Ray in Japan. This release included several changes and updates to the animation that were not present in the original broadcast version, particularly in regards to fixing continuity errors.

One of the most notable changes was the restoration of Captain Komamura’s helmet in flashback sequences during meetings of the 13 Court Guard Squads. In the original broadcast version, he was shown attending without his helmet, which was a significant error as Komamura always wore it to conceal his dog-like appearance. This correction is just one example of how the studio has paid close attention to detail and fan feedback, going to great lengths to ensure that the animated version of the Thousand-Year Blood War matches the manga as closely as possible.

In addition to the helmet correction, there were several other updates and fixes made to the animation, including adjustments to lighting, color, and effects. For example, Yhwach’s mustache was removed from flashbacks, giving him an appearance that more closely matched how he looked in the manga. These changes may seem minor, but they show a level of dedication to the source material and a desire to provide fans with the best possible viewing experience.

While an English Blu-Ray release has not yet been announced, it is likely that these changes will carry over to that version as well. Fans of Bleach can look forward to more updates and improvements in the upcoming release of the second cour of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, set to premiere in July.
